WELCOME TO YOUR NEW BEGINNING
ABOUT US
In a world in which childhood innocence is fading faster than ever before... some people know that fairytales are real. Nemare Academy for Gentlemen and Gentlewomen is a boarding school where the reincarnations of animated movie characters learn to take their place in the world of princesses and monsters and magic. Before they go out to take the world by storm, they can choose to further their education (both magical and mundane) at the Acinot University, just an island hop away. The Acinot Islands float somewhere in the northern Atlantic, invisible to all but those who know where to look, a safe haven for students from around the world.

Nemare Academy is a relaxed sandbox animation personification roleplay! Please register with your character's first and last name in standard format - e.g. Morgan Scott.

Dante had gotten another C-, just like all his other papers and he didn't understand it. In Nemare, he was a solid A grade student and many of his professors were eager to see what he would do once he had finished in education but now... now he was getting C's across the board. At first, Dante reasoned that it was a huge jump from High School into University but he was now in his second year and this shouldn't be happening. It felt like Dante had tried everything possible in order to do well in his classes - he spent entire days in the library working on an essay.

He was at his last straw, and no matter what, he wasn't going to let those teachers from Nemare down. They had become family to him. Once he was accepted by the Academy, he stayed until he graduated because he didn't want to end up back in that Orphanage. The thought that he may not be able to go back as a professor like he had planned - and told many of his senior teachers - tore him up inside. And that was why he was here.

He turned up as Oliver, not wanting to draw attention to himself. He wasn't the only ginger kitten around and he wanted to make sure there were no authority figures or people laying in wait to ambush the guy trying to find an easy way out. The man waiting for him was tall - particularly from Oliver's point of view- and he appeared to be alone. The kitten sniffed around the man, trying to work out how safe he was before he rubbed his face against the man's shoe and walked a little further away to gage the man's reaction.

There were times that Dominic had to give events a little push to get things going his way, whether with a client or just in regular life. Having magic made that a lot easier for him than the average psychopath, and probably more fun. More often than not, never, new business created itself without his having to do any "nudging" whatsoever. It was just human nature to long for things - and just as much human nature to want an easy way out (or in). Dom was only too happy to provide his services for the denizens of the Acinot islands and, eventually, for the world.

Today, wearing a fringed black leather jacket with more black sequins on it than no one short of Dolly Parton herself really ought to contemplate wearing, he was making his way down to the village to meet a new client. Usually, the client had to come to him, but he was prepared to make exceptions for flighty but otherwise easy prey. Make them feel as though he was only accommodating their desires and he pretty much had them in the palm of his hand. His trusted eel spies had marked this one out for him and even softened the poor sap up for him.

Dante Stevenson.

Dom was very good with names. It helped to have a filling cabinet in his head with all information available whenever he needed it. When it came down to it, he was really just a people person. He just happened to use his gifts to his own benefit. This little Dante kid was a real guppy - suddenly the little fish in the big university lake, he wasn't finding getting all A's as easy as it had been only a year ago. Poor child. Sweet child. Lucky him. Mama Dom had the perfect cure for his ills.

His wedge-heeled boots made hardly any sound on the cobbled street as he made his way to the designated meeting point. Perfect - he was early, as planned. He brushed his hair out of his eyes and leaned against the wall, slipping his hands into his pockets while he waited, partially hidden from view for anyone coming from the main road but still visible to someone who knew where to look.

The mark arrived in an unexpected form. Dom looked down, a half-cocked smile tugging at his lips, as a tiny ginger cat approached. It might have been a good sneaky entrance if it weren't for the fact that animals tended to avoid him outright. "Hi there," he said, getting down on one knee and tilting his head. "Don't be afraid." He held out his hand, giving the disguised Dante his fingers to sniff should he want to. Hopefully this farce wouldn't drag on too long.

Dante wasn't used to getting his way, wasn't used to things working out for him but he was going to try and stand his ground. He wasn't someone used to doing things like this. Though he was usually seen as a stray, he never stole, never swore and was an all-round square with not even a detention through his whole school career. But he had done his research and so maybe people swore by their grades improving just by taking a couple of tablets. What was the worst that could happen? He was sensible, he would just follow the instructions and he wouldn’t be the kind to get addicted.

He had heard of Dominic through the grapevine, even though he didn’t have a lot of friends of that calibre it didn’t mean that he didn’t know about him. Dante wasn’t entirely sure who his spirit was, there were many rumours and he had no clue which one was the right one – nor did it really matter for what Dante needed. But as soon as he saw the leather jacket, the black sequins and he knew that was the guy he was meant to see. Not only was Dante giving himself time to gauge the person, but he was also giving himself time to decide if he wanted to back out or not.

Granted, the guy wasn’t going to be someone who was his friend, or would really look out for him. This was his job, this was what he did and Dante couldn’t expect anything else. But Dante always did. He wanted to make friends with everybody and that was why he was so easily swayed when the man gave his fingers for Dante to sniff. Dante rubbed his head against the hand before he moved to step back slightly before he transformed. He constantly got asked whether when he turned he ended up naked, but he didn’t, and he was thankful for that right now as he appeared in front of the infamous Dominic Urslur, “Hey… I’m Dante.” He said, as though the man didn’t know. Dante wasn’t sure how much information the eel had passed onto him, so he figured he may as well start at the beginning.

“So… I… erm… have the money…” he said, his hand going into his pocket as he received it. It was years before Dante was brave enough to try carrying something when he transformed. Though it had gone wrong on occasion, this time it went right, “Do you… have what I need?” he asked, fidgeting slightly. He had no idea how these meetings when done and how much was shared with him by his assistant.
