In a world in which childhood innocence is fading faster than ever before... some people know that fairytales are real. Nemare Academy for Gentlemen and Gentlewomen is a boarding school where the reincarnations of animated movie characters learn to take their place in the world of princesses and monsters and magic. Before they go out to take the world by storm, they can choose to further their education (both magical and mundane) at the Acinot University, just an island hop away. The Acinot Islands float somewhere in the northern Atlantic, invisible to all but those who know where to look, a safe haven for students from around the world.

Nemare Academy is a relaxed sandbox animation personification roleplay! Please register with your character's first and last name in standard format - e.g. Morgan Scott.

Her time could have been spent better. She had such a knack for getting lost one would thing Miss Alicia Wood might be found getting lost on the large campus that was Acinot University. Or maybe attempting to learn the ins and outs of the village that catered to the University students. Anyone thinking that would be quite wrong though. Sure it would be a better use of her time since she would eventually have to learn at least some sections of it. SO far she was even managing to get lost on her way to the Theater department and to her dorms. At least back at Nemare she had finally managed to be able to find her way to her dorm and the theater room and auditorium. But this was only her first year at the University and back in her Freshman year at Nemare she had been just as lost. So yes, devoting time to figuring out her new campus would be ideal, but she hadn't wanted to do that. Instead she decided to go off to a place she knew better and hopefully could get a break from all the getting lost, even though getting lost was literally her power.

But maybe today would be different. After all, she did know the village that the Nemare students used more often far better than anywhere on Ceresta Island. It stood to reason that maybe she'd have a better chance of not getting lost there. Of course, she didn't hold terribly high hopes of that since she was well aware she hadn't been able to figure out the halls of Nemare where she spent more time than the village in the four years she had been there, so the village on Tinntabon Island wasn't going to be any better at all. Still it was nice to be out and about. Because of this, Alice found herself smiling as her blue eyes darted around at all the shops. She remembered walking around quite a bit here and it was pleasant most of the time. Thinking on that, she found herself day dreaming and reminiscing about the adventures of sorts she had while wandering the streets. Some more pleasant than others of course.

This was how she remained for quite a while until she snapped out of her day dreams and she looked around blinking. She ran a hand through her wavy blonde locks and she swore softly. She had done it again! How was it that she could be in a place for as long as she had, over four years now, and STILL be getting lost like this? She was honestly a little bit bitter that it didn't make any sense with normal logic, but the fact she was housing the spirit of Alice from Alice in Wonderland made her odd knack for getting lost quite plausible. It was quite annoying. She remembered a friend once telling her she might someday learn to turn her odd power onto other people, but so far that was looking like that was a fat chance. Alice grumbled softly and looked around again before she just picked a direction and started walking looking agitated and a bit confused. Eventually she'd find a familiar landmark and hopefully be able to work out which way she needed to go to get unlost. Hopefully.

Getting lost was not a problem that Morgan had experienced much after the first few weeks of attending Nemare. She had known from day one that part of her survival depended on knowing her surroundings better than those who might try and push their weight around. Having a secret place, a place where nobody else would go – or would want to go – had made a big difference for her and her boys when they were still the smallest fish in the high school pond. Nowadays, when they withdrew from sight, it was because they enjoyed each other’s’ company rather than because they were avoiding anyone. Other people avoided them these days, and wasn’t that satisfying?

There were other who were not so canny, or so fortunate. Others who got lost all by themselves on a laughably regular basis. While most of them tended to be freshmen, the habit was kept by a few weirdos who just couldn’t work out how to navigate one simple castle. Like that Alice girl. She might have been older than Morgan, but it hadn’t taken long for the hyena incarnate to work out that she came out ahead in more than a few ways – one of which was not getting lost. It seemed to Morgan that the blondie had about the same sense of direction as a concussed squirrel, which meant that she was an excellent target for some lazy-day fun.

It was endlessly amusing to her and her boys to misdirect, redirect and otherwise impede the poor lost girl. Almost a shame, really, that she’d moved on to Acinot and could no longer be relied upon to provide entertainment at the drop of a hat. Still, it wasn’t that uncommon for students to head over to the university island, especially seniors, which now included Morgan. She knew that going into university would put her back at the bottom of the food chain, and even though cafeteria politics didn’t seem to matter so much after that she sure as hell wasn’t going to let herself be made vulnerable if she could at all help it. It was just plain good sense to spend some time in the place where she would inevitably land up staying – let’s be honest, which other university would be prepared to take somebody like her?

Today was her lucky day, it seemed. She didn’t even have to leave her own island: an opportunity for fun had apparently made the mistake of coming to her. As she ambled down the village streets, contemplating buying herself something to drink, she spotted a familiar head of blonde hair radiating confusion. Grinning, Morgan changed direction, aiming for Alice. "Looks like you’re having some trouble there," she said sweetly as soon as she was close enough, unable to wipe the smirk off her face even if she did manage not to sound like she was already having a laugh at Alice’s expense. "Need help?" Always a warning flag when someone like Morgan offered to help – but then, lost beggars can’t be choosers.
